Aromatherapy Candles
Aromatherapy candles are a simple way for people to enjoy the full benefit of essential oils in their home. As the candle burns the sweet aromas from herbs and flowers heal and sooth the body naturally. Essential oils are said to be both therapeutic for body and mind.
The essential oils in candles work by inhaling the aromas which work on the actuary nerves. These nerves go from the nose to the brow and help affect a person’s mood. So by just smelling these oils can change the way that you feel and your mood. You can begin to feel relaxed, stimulated or even sensual just from lighting a candle.
The essential oils used in candles also have antibiotic, antibacterial and antiviral properties. The best ones have a high quantity of pure essential oils with no man made scents at all. There are many candles out there that claim to be aromatherapy but are simply just fragrant candles so be sure to check when buying. Fragrant candles do not contain essential oils and will do nothing to benefit the body.
People believe that burning these candles provide healing properties for common ailments. Muscle cramps, headaches and cold systems can all be treated with the burning of aromatherapy candles.
One thing that must be remembered when buying these candles is, when you smell them in a shop they do not smell very strong, unlike fragrant candles. Do not be put off by this you will be able to enjoy the full scent once lit.
Aromatherapy candles release their aroma when the wax is burning. If you are a candle lover anyway, it is wise to invest in aromatherapy candles as they not only smell fantastic and made from all natural products, but you will not be inhaling toxic fragrances that may affect your health. A true aromatherapy candle will relax your mind, body and soul.
